The American Legion Auxiliary, Henry P. Smith Unit, will host its 11th annual Christmas Craft Fair Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at 325 Erie Blvd.
“This is our auxiliary’s biggest fundraiser,” even chairwoman Mary Ann Casadei noted. “ The money raised from this will go to our Christmas programs for children, and our programs that support the veterans in our community who have a specific need that we are able to fill. We also have two troops that we have adopted where we send packages containing snacks, personal items, phone cards and necessities.”
Included among the 23 vendors are woodworking, essential oils, Christmas crafts, Avon, 31 and a large bake sale. There will also be an American Legion membership information table.
“The auxiliary is being asked more and more frequently to assist veterans who are having a difficult time,” Casadei said. “Their Thanksgiving and Christmas programs are coming up and they expect to have several families to assist. Our auxiliary emergency fund is constantly being stretched.”
