Corrections Academy grads to serve at county jails

Fourteen new corrections officers graduated on Monday from the Basic Corrections Academy. They will serve the county jails in Oneida, Madison and Herkimer counties.

Authorities said the graduates passed eight weeks of intense classroom study, hands-on training, physical fitness tests, military drills and practical exercises. The graduation ceremony took place at the Utica campus of Mohawk Valley Community College. The graduates:

Oneida: Brian Ciulla, David Davis, Ashlee Hughes, Michael Malinowski, Howard Mosher, Tiffany Robinson, William Rowlands, 
Johnathan Santomassino, Michael Spielmann and Anthony Torres.

Madison: Jeffrey Hugunine, John LaPerla and Christopher Lupinski.

Herkimer: Jeffrey Chase.
