ROME — The City of Rome’s Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Labatt Blue and McCraith Beverages to host the Copper City Classic Pond Hockey Tournament March 18 at Kennedy Arena in Rome.

The tournament with a three-on-three pond hockey-style format is for adults (21 and over).

Registration is open, and the first 10 teams to sign up and make the $50 deposit will be entered. During registration the day of the event, each team is responsible for the other $200 of the registration fee. Teams are composed of five players, and each team is guaranteed four games in a round robin format.

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and games will at 11 a.m. and consist of two 12-minute halves with a three-minute warm-up and intermission.
