Cooperative Extension to offer grain bin safety training

ORISKANY — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County and Gold Star Feed and Grain, LLC are offering a free hands-on grain bin safety training to local first responders and farmers.

This in-person training will take place at Gold Star Feed and Grain, LLC located at 7599 Route 20 in Sangerfield, on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided at no cost. The training will include the following:

How to make important decisions at the scene of an on-farm emergency

Handling confined space emergencies and other farm emergencies

A Grain Bin Rescue Demonstration

Tour of Gold Star Feed and Grain Facility
