Cooking demo, poetry reading among MVCC virtual offerings in April

Mohawk Valley Community College is offering a variety of virtual events to be held throughout the month of April via Zoom.

30-Minute Meal with Chef Dustin Swiss

Friday, April 9, at 2:30 p.m. on the MVCC Cultural Series Facebook page.

Chef Swiss, technical assistant of MVCC’s Hospitality Department, will present a live 30-minute cooking demo in the kitchen of the Rome MVCC Campus.

Swiss will make roasted garlic chicken breast with crispy russet potatoes and buttered asparagus. The recipe will be posted prior to the live-stream to follow along.

• International Cafe & Conversation: “MVCC International Students”

Tuesday, April 13, at 2:30 p.m. Register for a Zoom link: www.mvcc.edu/tickets. Students who came to MVCC from around the world share stories of their countries, showing how their culture interacts and works to preserve the natural environment.

Emily Gifford, coordinator of International Student Services, will serve as moderator.

A Zoom link will be made available after registering for a ticket.
