Community Wellness Partners announces approval of FEMA grant

CLINTON — Community Wellness Partners (CWP) has announced the approval of a $2.6 million grant funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

CWP - the affiliation of LutheranCare and Presbyterian Homes & Services - was granted this funding to cover the extensive costs of employee COVID-19 testing on both campuses during the height of the pandemic. In its approval notification, FEMA leadership praised the CWP Team for its responsiveness and “all the hard work” that went into the project application.

Those involved in submitting the application are certain that Community Wellness Partners would not have been as successful in receiving these funds if it weren’t for the Team working together consistently to ensure all regulations were being met and the health and safety of the residents was foremost. “These team members are truly the heroes of the grant approval and their dedication is very much appreciated.”

President & CEO, Jeremy Rutter commented, “The scope of work that went into completing this FEMA application was enormous and our Team at Community Wellness Partners truly came together to ensure that we were successful in attaining this much-needed funding. I am more than pleased with the outcome.”
