Community schools launches Summer Drop-In Program

A community schools Summer Drop-in Program for all Rome school district students who have completed grades 2-6 will begin Tuesday and conclude Aug. 22 at Gansevoort Elementary School, 758 W. Liberty St.

The program will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., according to a district announcement.

Included will be games, crafts, activities, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) projects, special guests and more. Lunch and snacks will be provided at no cost.

No sign-up is required; the program serves students daily on a first-come, first-served basis, the announcement said.
