The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties is offering training programs for staff and board members of area nonprofit organizations.
All events take place at The Community Foundation, 2608 Genesee St., Utica.
Workshops are free to attend; webinars are free to members of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) or $10 for nonmembers. Registration is required as seating is limited. Register online at www.foundationhoc.org/events.

Nonprofit operations can be complicated, and their governance is often confusing for many that serve on boards. This presentation will examine the most frequently asked questions and issues that arise for nonprofits and their boards of directors. Topics include what is and is not a conflict of interest, board voting, whether to use Robert’s Rules of Order and implementing bylaws
“Building a Culture of Philanthropy” Webinar on Thursday, Nov. 8, at noon.
The abundance of writing that displays how important culture is to an organization should be applied to the nonprofit world as well.
Simone Joyaux, an advanced certified fundraising executive, will share the best ways to cultivate culture for philanthropic organizations.
