Comets to face Penguins in home opener
UTICA — The Utica Comets will square off against the Atlantic Division’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for the Comets’ home opener, the team and the American Hockey League announced. The game is Monday, Oct. 17, at the Adirondack Bank Center.
The game against the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins is the first home game of the Comets franchise’s 10th anniversary season. The date also marks the 35th anniversary of the Utica Devils’ opener which took place on the same date in 1987.
The full season schedule information will be provided on Thursday.
