Continentals move up spot in field hockey poll

CLINTON — The Hamilton College Continentals rose another spot to No. 15 in this week’s National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Top 20 poll.

Hamilton was one of five teams to move up in this week’s poll. The Continentals improved to 9-5 overall and 5-5 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference with a 3-1 win at Wesleyan University on Saturday.

Keeley Duran and Maura Holden are tied for the team lead with six goals apiece. Hannah Dillon and Kiera Wax pace Hamilton with four assists apiece. Maggie Reville has played every minute in the cage and has a 1.56 goals against average and .777 save percentage with two shutouts in 14 starts.

The Continentals are at 11-5 University of Rochester for a non-conference game on Wednesday, Oct. 27. Hamilton will be on the road again for a 2021 NESCAC Field Hockey Championship quarterfinal on Saturday, Oct. 30 against an opponent that has yet to be determined.
