Kranbuhl honored at SUNY Cobleskill

SUNY Cobleskill freshman Arielle Kranbuhl of Boonville, a member of the softball team, has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete of the Week.

The pitcher-first baseman threw the team’s first no-hitter in five seasons on Wednesday in a 13-0 win over SUNY Morrisville, striking out seven and walking one.

Kranbuhl was also a factor at the plate during the week, going 6-for-16 for a .375 batting average including a double, a home run, three runs scored and six runs batted in.

On the season to date, the right hander has posted 4-4 record on the mound with four complete games and a shutout, posting a 5.25 ERA having struck out 35 and walking 21 hitters in 41 1/3 innings of work. She is also hitting .269 with an On Base Percentage of .384 in 26 games with five doubles, a triple, two home runs, 15 runs scored and 13 RBI.
