Hamilton women’s lax remains in poll’s top 15

The Hamilton College women’s lacrosse team dropped a spot in ILWomen/Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll.

The rankings, released Monday, have the Continentals ranked No. 14. The team had recently been ranked No. 13.

Hamilton is 7-5 overall and 5-5 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference following a 10-point loss to then-No. 11 ranked Wesleyan last Wednesday and a lopsided setback to No. 9 Tufts on Saturday. Hamilton rebounded with a 13-12 win over Williams on Sunday.

A total of eight of NESCAC teams are ranked in the poll, including undefeated Middlebury, which is No. 1.

Senior Eva Abel leads the Continentals with 27 goals and Olivia Seymour leads the team with 33 points (21 goals, 12 assists).

Hamilton’s four goalkeepers have combined for a 10.58 goals against average — up from 8.46 last week and .410 save percentage.
