CNY Wing Wars to benefit cancer patients
WHITESBORO — The annual Central New York Wing Wars will benefit cancer patients in financial need from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Hart’s Hill Inn, 135 Clinton St.
Participating eateries include Hot Off the Brick, Pizza Boys, Killabrew, Piggy Pats, Tonys of NH, Ray Brothers BBQ, Utica BBQ, Fratello’s Pizzeria, Pizzeria Italia, Knuckleheads, The Celtic Harp and Lukin’s. Tickets are $30 and include one free beer or soda, one slice of pizza and a dozen wings - one from each vendor in the war.
The event is hosted by the Joseph Michael Chubbuck Foundation. There will be a basket raffle and live music by a deejay. A limit of 200 tickets will be sold and reservations are required.
Celebrity judges include New York State Sen. Joe Griffo, Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol, WKTV’s Kristen Copeland, Empire Plate’s Bill Vincii and 96.9 WOUR’s Will Phillips. The public will also be able to vote for “Best Wing” and “Most Unique Wing” in the Wing Wars.
