CLINTON — Clinton Tractor is looking to break its goal of $100,000 in fundraising for the American Cancer Society this year.

The business’ fundraising initiatives include raffling off a Ferris commercial lawn mower, displaying a custom-made Survivor Tractor at various ACS walks and events, and being a part of the Real Men Wear Pink campaign.

“Our company started raising money and partnering with ACS in 2018 with our Survivor Tractor display and raffle,” said John Calidonna, co-owner of Clinton Tractor. “Since then, I’ve also become involved in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign. The combination of those fundraisers has helped us raise over $81,000 and we’re looking to break our goal of $100,000 this year.”

Inspired by seeing a Cancer Survivor Tractor at a New Holland dealer meeting several years ago, Calidonna had a 1940 Ford 9N model that was found on the side of the road restored into their own Survivor Tractor. The purple tractor has been in numerous parades and Relay for Life events over the last five years.

In conjunction with the Survivor Tractor display, Clinton Tractor raffles a Ferris commercial mower each year to the American Cancer Society, with all proceeds donated. This year’s drawing for the 500S Ferris commercial mower will be Monday, Oct. 31, at Clinton Tractor.

To purchase raffle tickets, go to Clinton Tractor on Meadow Street in Clinton, or by coming out to the Relay For Life of Central New York on Sept. 17 and the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Oct. 23.

The American Cancer Society exists to improve the lives of cancer patients and their families. They are the only organization that integrates discovery, advocacy, and direct patient support to measurably improve lives. Through their commitment to these areas of focus, they are working to ensure everyone has a fair and just opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
