CHITTENANGO — Clear Path for Veterans, 1223 Salt Springs Road, invites those interested in learning more about the ways to give back to veterans in the community to attend its Volunteer Open House from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Clear Path for Veterans’ staff will be available to help people learn more about how volunteers play a vital role in the organization’s programs and services, and current volunteers will also be on hand to answer questions and share information about their volunteer experience.

Guests will have the chance to learn about the different volunteer and internship opportunities available, including culinary support, groundskeeping/gardening, administrative support, working with the canine program to support its service dogs in training, among other volunteer opportunities.

Clear Path for Veterans has volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups as well as information for students looking to fulfill community service requirements or seeking internship opportunities.

Volunteer applications will be available at the event. For information, email Volunteer Coordinator Stephanie Venezia at stephanie@clearpathforvets.com or call the office at 315-687-3300.

Over the past decade, Clear Path for Veterans has evolved from a stand-alone canine service dog program to a holistic wellness center providing direct programs and services to thousands of veterans, military members, and families.

From its main campus in Chittenango, the organization has expanded to serve 33 counties throughout New York State, providing direct support services, programming, and events, to providing a place for veterans to reconnect with others and with themselves.
