CHITTENANGO — Veteran, military, and first responder families are invited to join Clear Path for Veterans for the second-annual Back to School Festival from 2 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 13 at 1223 Salt Springs Road in Chittenango.

All school-age children will leave the festival with a backpack filled with all their school necessities, provided at no cost. By participating in Clear Path’s passport scavenger hunt, families can visit the various community partners present at the event and learn about resources available to them to earn a stamp on their passports.

Completed passports can be turned in for a backpack filled with school supplies for the coming year.

This year’s community partners include the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, NAMI Syracuse, Army National Guard FRG, the YMCA, Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency (SNAP), the VA, MVCAA, the Chittenango Fire Department, BRiDGES, Le Moyne VA & Education, 4H, and more.

Guests will enjoy various festival games, crafts, and activities, including a bounce house, sand art, glitter tattoos, and a dunk tank. Food will be available from Clear Path’s Food Trailer.

This event is made possible by the support of the John Ben Snow Foundation. Reservations are required to ensure plenty of school supplies for all children attending.
