Police Officer Jacob A. Clark is the Rome Police Department’s Officer of the Month for March.
Authorities said Clark was dispatched to a reported sexual assault on March 10 and conducted interviews with several witnesses, including the victim. Authorities said Clark developed a suspect and met with him several times, eventually leading to a confession.
“Officer Clark was extremely driven, professional and detailed throughout the investigation,” officials said. “His attention to duty was exemplary and is worthy of this recognition.”
Clark joined the department in June 2015.
