ONEIDA — The Zonta Club of Oneida Area is sponsoring the Billy Martin’s Cole All-Star Circus on Sunday, Jan. 27 at Oneida High School, 560 Seneca St., including shows at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m.

The circus is a major fundraiser for the club and its high school affiliate, the Z Club. All proceeds from the circus performances help fund scholarship awards for local area women returning to the workforce, young women going to college, and a scholarship to an environmental camp for middle school children.

Students in the Oneida, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, Canastota and Stockbridge school districts will receive free tickets for children age 12 and younger. Advance-sale tickets for students age 13 and older plus adults may be purchased for $10 at the Oneida Recreation Center, Cedar Street, from Wednesday, Jan. 23-Friday, Jan. 25 from 4-7 p.m. and Jan. 26 from 9 a.m.-noon. Tickets also will be available at NBT bank offices at the corner of Main Street and Route 5 in Oneida and on Route 5 in Canastota from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesday-Friday.

Children attending the circus must be accompanied by an adult, with a limit of two free-ticket children per adult. Additional children with the adult must pay $10 per child. Extra tickets are $15 apiece at the door for students and adults. Early arrival is recommended.
