Cinema Capitol (230 W. Dominick St.) will present screenings of the acclaimed one-woman-show “Fleabag” from Friday, Nov. 1-Thursday, Nov. 7.
“Fleabag” is a hilarious, award-winning show that inspired the hit BBC television series of the same title.
Produced by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fleabag may seem oversexed, emotionally unfiltered, and self-obsessed, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
With family and friendships under strain and a guinea pig café struggling to keep afloat, Fleabag suddenly finds herself with nothing to lose.
Performances of “Fleabag” have played to sold-out audiences in New York and London. The play has received acclaim from critics, who praise Waller-Bridge’s performances and writing, as well as the uniqueness and personality of the character.
The play, after opening at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, was given the “Fringe First Award.”
“Fleabag” runs 80 minutes and is rated R. Admission is
$14, $13 for students and military, and $12 for Capitol “Friends.”
Tickets are available at the door and in advance from the Capitol box office (315-337-6453) and online at www.romecapitol.com.
Show times are Friday and Saturday at 4:15 and 7:15 p.m., Sunday at 1:15 and 4:15 p.m., and Monday-Thursday at 7:15 p.m. There will be no captioned show times for “Fleabag.”
