By popular demand, Cinema Capitol (230 W. Dominick St.) will present an encore screening of the documentary “Before, During and After Woodstock ‘99” tonight, July 25 at 7:15 p.m.
“Before, During and After Woodstock ‘99” explores the music festival held in Rome in 1999. The movie was originally released in 2009 and took a 10-year look back at that time from the perspective of the community in and around Rome. This new 20th-year edition features new material and perspectives looking back twenty years removed from the event, and includes interviews with attendees, workers, organizers, and politicians involved with the now controversial event.
The documentary runs 72 minutes and is not rated, though it is not considered to be suitable for children. Admission is $8, $7 for students and military, and $6 for Capitol Friends. Tickets are available at the door and in advance from the Capitol box office (315-337-6453) and online at www.romecapitol.com.
To accommodate this screening, Cinema Capitol has shifted its screening of the movie “The Tomorrow Man” to 4:15 p.m.
