Church to celebrate 225th anniversary
AUGUSTA — The Augusta Presbyterian Church, 2345 Route 26, will celebrate its 225th anniversary with a special service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 21.
The service will feature bluegrass music featuring Pat Potter and Jim Roberts, and former ministers will be attend or be represented.
Local government officials and members of the Utica Presbytery will also present remarks.
Members of the Deansboro Congregational Church’s choir, a church formed from the Augusta congregation, will join with the Augusta church led by Lynn Box. Jay G. Williams III, pastor since 2001, will give the morning message.
The service will be followed by a light brunch, and all are invited to attend the celebration.
