REMSEN — The Remsen Arts Center presents Christmas in the Village Weekend from Friday, Dec. 9 to Sunday, Dec. 11 at 9627 Main St. All events are free with donations accepted.

Friday’s events include the lighting of the Christmas tree at 5:15 p.m.; hot chocolate and cookies at 5:25 p.m. and Christmas caroling with accompaniment by Dominic Fiacco on the Steinway piano from 5:45-6:15 p.m.

The Remsen Community Band performs a traditional Christmas program at 7 p.m. Saturday with two audience sing-alongs and a sleigh ride song.

The band consists of players from the Central New York region with Director F. Peter Billard.

The Remsen Community Choir performs many well-known carols, highlights from the Messiah and a carol sing-along at 7 p.m. Sunday. Kym Johnson Fox is the director and Susan Bartholomew is the accompanist.
