UTICA — This Saturday, Nov. 10, at 10:30 a.m., the Utica Children’s Museum will cut the ribbon for a special exhibit celebrating the 50th Anniversary of an American Classic – Hot Wheels.
In partnership with Hot Wheels Historian Mike Zarnock, the museum invites visitors, collectors and enthusiasts to this kick off event.
The museum’s fourth floor will house a portion of Zarnock’s two time Guinness Book of World Record-holding Hot Wheels collection for visitors to view. The collection spans all 50 years and will showcase items that you won’t see elsewhere, along with fun facts about Hot Wheels, compiled by Zarnock himself. There will also be a hands-on area for kids to play with tracks and cars donated by Mattel. AAA Northeast is the exclusive sponsor of the exhibit.
The managing director of the museum Steve Bulger shares,“We are thrilled to have Mike and his collection at the Museum to add to our visitors’ experience. It’s sure to appeal to people of all ages. We are lucky to have a national figure right here in the Utica area that is willing to share his expertise and collection with us.”
Zarnock adds, “I’m excited to be able to bring some of my world famous Hot Wheels collection back home to the Utica Children’s Museum.”
