St. John’s Lutheran Church, 502 W. Chestnut St., held its first of farmers’ market of the season on Wednesday, May 20. The market featured fresh vegetables, locally raised meats, and other farm products as well as homemade soaps and hand sanitizer, according to an announcement by the church.
“Farmers’ markets are a great means to connect local farmers with their community and learn where your food comes from,” the church announcement said, adding that the new market will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, rain or shine, until October 7.
