UTICA — The Charity Motor Club encourages classic car owners to shine up their rides and pack up the family for its first meet-up on Saturday, May 21, at the New York Power Authority Museum (also known as the Energy Zone), 1 Zoo Way, followed by a picnic lunch at the Utica Zoo, located next door.

The event will begin at 11 a.m., and a club announcement said museum officials are reserving spots for cars including EV hookups. A donation of $25 is requested with all proceeds from the event going to charity. Children under age 12 will be admitted free. Admission includes a tour of the museum and entrance into the zoo. At 11 a.m. guests can park and check out the cars or take a quick overview tour of the Energy Zone. At noon, people can grab their self-packed picnic lunches and head to the Rotary Pavilion in the Zoo for lunch. After that, participants can tour the zoo, go back to the Energy Zone or check out the cars.

Registration is required and can be made online at https://charitymotorclub.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/charitymotorclub/event.jsp?event=171&.

Several electrical hookups are available for electric vehicles.
