Cupps to represent USA in South Korea
Rome’s Wes and Lauren Cupp will represent the United States in South Korea in April.
The husband and wife speedgolfing duo will be the lone Americans competing in the W. Angle World Extreme Golf Challenge. The event will take place April 19-22 at Maple Beach Golf Resort in Gangwon-do, a seaside town on the Sea of Japan/East Sea.
The competition will crown domestic male and female champions for South Korea and then they will face off against the top international speedgolfers in the world.
Two person co-ed teams from Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom will join the USA’s Cupps in the field. The event will be filmed and aired as a weekly series on JTBC in South Korea from May through July and will be available shortly thereafter on YouTube in the United States.
Lauren just ascended to the No. 1 World Ranking thanks to recent USA and World Championship titles. Wes, currently ranked fourth in the world, also won the United States Championship this past season.
