ROME — Olney’s Flowers, 2002 N. James St., was named Rome Area Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Member of the Week.

Members of the chamber stopped by the flower shop earlier this week to congratulate Will and Emily Olney.

Olney’s Flowers has been serving Rome as a full-service florist since 1988. They deliver flowers to the greater Rome/Utica area every day.

Olney’s is known for its festive Christmas display set up now, with gifts from tree ornaments, Rome towels, magnets, signs, anything Christmas, manly gifts, candles, jewelry, children’s gifts and clothes, and more.

And while home landscapes may be dormant now, Olney’s is busy making plans for next year’s annuals, perennials, nursery stock, bulk materials and hardscapes. They grow most of their own bedding plants, trees and shrubs, providing neighbors with a varied selection of plants that do well in the area.

Olney’s is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the holidays.
