Casework team to visit VA Health and Wellness Expo
ROME — Rep. Claudia L. Tenney, R-22, New Hartford, has announced her team of caseworkers will be on hand to assist veterans who need help with Department of Veterans Affairs issues at the VA Health and Wellness Expo in Rome, from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Aug. 10.
The VA will host the Health and Wellness Expo to benefit area veterans will take place oat the Donald J. Mitchell Outpatient Clinic, 125 Brookley Road on the Griffiss Business and Technology Park. Vendors will also be on site to provide direct care and services to veterans.
During this event the VA hopes to provide supplies and services to veterans, such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings and benefits counseling, according to Tenney’s announcement.
Veterans can also receive referrals to other assistance such as health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment, and mental health counseling, the announcement added.
