BOONVILLE — The Adirondack Central School District anticipates a capital project to go out to voters in the late winter or spring of 2023, officials said, adding that the members of the board of education heard a presentation by King and King Architects and Fiscal Advisors at their May 23 board meeting, outlining the big picture costs of various ideas.

The three options being considered are:

- Maintaining all three campuses as they are (West Leyden Elementary, Boonville Elementary, and the middle/high school);

- Closing West Leyden Elementary and transitioning fifth grade to the middle school, with Boonville Elementary housing UPK-fourth grade; and

- Considering an elementary addition to the middle/high school.

At this point, the board is reviewing the big picture concept of each option and considering which options may be eliminated or further looked into, officials added.

At the June 7 board meeting, the board will have further discussion on the issue, officials added. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and will be held in the high school (large group instruction room, behind the library).
