CAMDEN — Camden High School was placed on lockdown as a precaution this morning for an unfounded threat, according to law enforcement officials.
An investigation revealed that there was no direct threat, authorities stated.
Sheriff’s deputies said the special patrol officer at the high school alerted the Sheriff’s Office about a potential threat this morning.
Sheriff’s deputies, state police and village police officers responded to the school to investigate and secure the area. The high school was put on lockdown during the investigation.
Deputies said it was eventually determined that there was no direct threat made regarding the school. Normal school classes and activities resumed. Authorities said no one was in any danger.
