The 23rd annual Fred Calicchia Memorial Doubles Bocce Tournament was held at the Galliano Club last weekend. The championship went to Galliano #5, a team of Walt Semeniak of Utica and Andy Sweeney of Lockport.

The event is named for the longtime member, former officer and bocce chairman. A dozen two-man teams were entered with awards going to the top four teams.

In second was was Galliano #9 — Mike Agosto and Paul Louis III. In third was Galliano #7 — Paul Calicchia of Rome and Tony Porcello of Amsterdam. In fourth was Team Jimmy G — Jimmy Guy and Greg Puccio.

Next up is the eighth annual Men’s Singles Bocce Classic to be held at the Galliano Club  Dec. 2 and 3. The entry sheet is at the club or contact Walt Semeniak at walt@centralny.twcbc.com.
