UTICA — The Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) Designer Draw will be held Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Aqua Vino, 16 Harbor Lock Road.

Tickets are available for $20 each, or three tickets for $50. They are available at CABVI, 507 Kent St., at the door on Wednesday, or online at https://www.cabvi.org/cabvi-couture-designer-draw/.

“Inspired by women, organized by women, to benefit women and children – CABVI’s Designer Draw is the premier event in our area,” organizers said.

Prizes include a Louis Vuitton NeoNoe purse, second prize is a David Yurman bracelet, and third prize is a $500 gift certificate to Turning Stone Casino & Resort.

Also added this year is a forth, ‘mystery prize.’ In addition, there are over 25 designer purses that attendees can win with the purchase of an additional raffle ticket.

Last year’s event helped raise more than $15,000 for our nationally recognized programs. From stress relief programs to adaptive sports and fitness, this event helps to ensure quality, comprehensive services are available to the women and children who need them. How does it work?

“Attendees can purchase a ticket by stopping in at CABVI’s headquarters, or by visiting their website,” said Designer Draw chairperson, Anne D’Amico “There is something for everyone at this event, and if you join the Facebook event, you will see which purses we have to win.”

“Women’s and children’s programing is so important,” said Kathy Beaver, VP of Rehabilitation Services. “We need fun and engaging events like the Designer Draw to bring awareness to these types of programs, while providing a comfortable atmosphere for everyone, men and women alike, to network and win some great items.”
