Marianne Buttenschon, candidate for Assembly from the 119th District, received the endorsement of the Whitestown Democratic Committee to succeed outgoing Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi.
“Winning Whitestown is crucial. It is the largest town in the 119th. The Whitesboro Central School District is the largest school system outside of Utica and Rome. Earning the support of Whitestown Democrats is a necessary step to becoming the candidate who succeeds Anthony Brindisi in the New York State Assembly,” Buttenschon said.
Buttenschon believes Whitestown Democrats supported her because of her stand on issues.
“Since my campaign began last July I’ve taken strong positions on increasing school aid, making schools safer, fighting Albany’s culture of dishonesty and giving our farmers a stronger voice in the state legislature,” Buttenschon stated. “The only way I can change Albany is to go to Albany. Winning Whitestown is an important early milestone in that long march.”
