BOONVILLE — After Tessa Greene’s son, Mitchell, died in an accident in August 2014, she was consumed by grief and struggling to cope.

In October of that year she was at a wellness expo where she listened to a hypnotist talk about past life regression. That sparked an interest, and led her to experience her own hypnosis sessions in 2019, and then again in 2021.

Those sessions were transformative for her, and now Greene wants to help others facing struggles find new ways to bring harmony to their lives. She has recently opened her own office space, called Harmonious Discoveries, in the Boonville Professional Building at 105 E. Schuyler St. She offers clients services including hypnosis, EFT Tapping, Age Regression, Past Life Regression, and Soul Journey.

“My vision is to offer a safe, comfortable atmosphere while guiding and assisting my clients through self discovery and healing with hypnosis,” Greene said.

Greene is a registered nurse and a certified consulting hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists. She uses hypnosis to help guide clients through the process of changing things about themselves, such as fears, phobias, anxiety, stress, and grief among other concerns.  

Hypnosis is a state of consciousness marked by intense focus and deep relaxation. It is a way to access hidden memories, or things that the brain may have hidden out of self-protection.

“A lot of times the thought of something is way worse than the actual thing,” she said. “Say for instance you are afraid of dogs. We can go back and discover why you are afraid, where that fear came from.”

Greene will bring Harmonious Discoveries to the Locally Layered Wellness Expo Sunday April 24 at 3 Willows Event Center, Lyons Falls. She will have a booth there all day, and will also be leading a class, Introduction to Hypnosis with a hypnotic session for relaxation and healing, in the Maple Room at 1p.m.
