Bruce G. Littler, 81, of Camden, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Rome Memorial Hospital ER after being stricken at home. He was born on May 8, 1937 in Camden, NY, a son of LaVerne and Thelma Meier Littler. Bruce was a 1956 graduate of Camden High School. He was united in marriage to the former Katherine M. Costello on June 21, 1958 at the St. John Evangelist Church, Camden, NY. Bruce served with the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. He was employed by Carpenter’s Paint & Hardware initially in sales and later became a building subcontractor. Bruce retired as a carpenter from Camden Wire Company in 1999 after nearly 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling and was a member of the Camden Volunteer Fire Department, Arthur S. Moran Post #66 and the Bombers softball team.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Katherine M. Littler, Camden, NY; two sons, Michael and Royal Littler, Oneida, NY, Timothy and Kelly Littler, Camden, NY; four grandchildren, Sara Littler and Alex VanPelt, Kayla Littler and Kevin Davis, Michaela Littler and Austin Littler; one great-granddaughter, Ivy Rae VanPelt; one sister, Cynthia Littler, Reno, NV; one sister-in-law, Gail Littler, VA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, LaVerne Littler II and one sister, Audrey McCracken.
A Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018 from the St. John Evangelist Church, Camden, NY under the direction of the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 109 Main Street.
