Brownfield summit to be held Oct. 6-7
JOHNSTOWN — The Mohawk Valley Brownfield Development Summit - a collaboration of the six Mohawk Valley counties and the Mohawk Valley Economic Development District - will take place Oct. 6 and 7 in Johnstown, according to a release.
The in-person summit will provide developers an opportunity to learn, network and invest in New York’s Mohawk Valley Brownfield redevelopment, and U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer will be the keynote speaker.
A release continues, “with a $2 billion investment forecast, businesses are looking to invest. Federal and state investment in semiconductors and the innovation economy are closely aligned with investments in the Marcy Nanocenter, Cree/Wolfspeed, Danfoss Silicon Power, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), and the Innovare Advancement Center ... The surge of economic activity is putting more focus on preparing sites for industrial, commercial, residential and infill development. ” For information, or to register: https://mvedd.org/about-brownfields-1.
