OLD FORGE — Broadway Meets Opera at View, 3273 Route 28, will return on Thursday, Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m. with two artists of incomparable talent. The show is an infusion of Opera and Broadway classics.

The eighth consecutive year will star American Matthew Maness (tenor) and Armenian-American, Anush Avetisyan (soprano). The rising opera stars will entertain the crowd with operatic arias and show tunes that have graced Broadway. Arthur McManus will provide accompaniment. Included in the program will be arias from La Traviata, L’Amico Fritz, Robert le Diable, and La Boheme. In celebration of Leonard Bernstein’s 100th birthday, they will also perform tunes from West Side Story along with Stranger in Paradise from Kismet and other Broadway showstoppers.
Maness has most recently performed as a part of the Florida Grand Opera’s young artist program.
