UTICA — Anthony Brindisi, a candidate for State Supreme Court judge, has received endorsements from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 43 and the United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW), Local One in his bid to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat in the 5th Judicial District, according to a release by campaign officials.

IBEW Local 43 represents nearly 1,500 union members in the Central New York area and UFCW Local One represents 17,000 members in Upstate New York, the endorsement announcement adds.

“Having the support of the hard-working men and women of organized labor means so much to me,” Brindisi said in a
statement.

“I am honored by these endorsements, and I pledge to use my nearly two decades of experience as a civil litigator and my experience as a public servant to be fair, impartial and independent as a judge,” Brindisi added.

The election is Nov. 2.
