The Boonville Farmers Market will open for the season at noon on Thursday, June 23, according to the Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce.

There will be live music from 2 to 4 p.m. by Tony Levesque. The chamber is also having a bag promotion. Those having a purchase of $25 or more will receive a free reusable bag, or you may purchase one for $2.

The market will be open every Thursday from noon to 5 p.m. throughout the summer and early fall. Chamber officials said that there are more vendors this year than ever before. The chamber office, located at 46 Schuyler St., is open to the public from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and chamber representatives will be at the farmers market from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursdays.

Chamber secretary Cheryl McMenama said the Best of Boonville celebration held Saturday, June 4, was a huge success.

“Thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers you made this great event a huge success,” McMenama said. “We are looking forward to next year’s event.”

Monthly meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month at the chamber office starting at 6:30 p.m. The meetings are open to the public.
