Sampling results obtained on Saturday, Aug. 10, and Sunday, Aug. 11, has revealed that the water in the Stockbridge Water District is again safe to drink, according to an announcement today by George Kalkowsky, water superintendent for the city of Oneida.
As a result, the City of Oneida Water Department and the Madison County Health Department announced that the precautionary boil water notice for all areas in the district, put in place last week, has also been lifted. Residents no longer need to boil water prior to drinking.
