NEW HARTFORD — Hospice & Palliative Care will offer its popular Blooms of Hope hanging basket flower sale which serves as a major fundraiser for the local agency.

Members of the public can purchase vouchers for both 10-inch and 12-inch hanging baskets which they can later redeem at River Road Farm and Greenhouses in Marcy in May.

There will be a variety of hanging baskets with different types of flowers to choose from. The 10-inch baskets are $22.50 each, and the 12-inch baskets are $31.50 each.

“Mother’s Day is May 14, so make plans now to buy a voucher for a beautiful hanging basket for the flower lovers in your life,” the Hospice announcement states. “Also, Memorial Day is May 29, and is a wonderful time to honor veterans, loved ones and enhance our homes and gardens with beautiful flowers.” 

“Our response to these gorgeous flower baskets has been amazing the past three years,” said Susan Miller, Blooms of Hope co-chairperson. “River Road Farm & Greenhouses grows exceptional plants that bloom all summer. This is a wonderful opportunity to support the hospice mission and give a gift of a hanging basket for an upcoming occasion. Vouchers will be mailed to purchasers and then they can present it to someone in their own card. Gift giving for any occasion has never been so easy!”
