Blaze leaves family of four homeless in Annsville, fire officials report


TOWN OF ANNSVILLE — A family of four has been left homeless after a mobile home fire on rural Boyd Road in the Town of Annsville late Monday night.

Fire officials said the alarm was raised at 10:53 p.m. for a mobile home on fire at 9584 Boyd Road, located northeast of the Hamlet of Taberg. At least five volunteer fire departments responded and knocked down the blaze.

The mobile home is believed to be a total loss. Authorities said one adult and three teenage children lived at the home and they were not injured. The American Red Cross said they are assisting the family.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Taberg, North Bay, Lee Center, McConnellsville and Camden fire departments responded, with Lake Delta on standby.
