Community Bank N.A. has announced the promotion of Wendy Berg to district manager of the Oneida/Herkimer section of the Lowville district. She brings to the position 30 years of experience in the financial industry with most of her career spent in supervisory positions.
In her new role, Berg will oversee five Community Bank N.A. branches within the bank’s Lowville district, including Westmoreland, Camden, Old Forge, and Rome’s Turin Road and Griffiss Park. She has been with Community Bank N.A. since 2015 when the bank merged with Oneida Savings Bank. Berg most recently served as vice president, branch manager of the Rome Turin Road and Griffiss Park locations.
“With a long history of assisting this community, Wendy was the perfect fit for this position,” Community Bank N.A. District Manager Tina Paczkowski said. “Wendy is an extremely hard worker who is committed to the financial success of her customers. Her expertise, work ethic and leadership will bring a positive impact to the five branches she oversees.”
Outside of the office, Berg is active in her community. She serves as committee member for Jessica’s Heroes, treasurer and executive committee member for Durhamville Baptist Church, education committee member for Rome Area Chamber of Commerce, member of Rome Rotary and team captain and volunteer for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
Berg earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from SUNY Polytechnic Institute. In addition, she holds a banking diploma, certificates from Center for Financial Training and is a notary public for New York state. Berg resides in Vernon with her husband, Jeffrey.
