Benson performs at Carnegie Hall

ANNVILLE, PA — Sarah Benson, of New Hartford, is one of 12 Lebanon Valley College students who recently performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The students participated in a festival chorus conducted by Dr. Lynda Hasseler and organized by Manhattan Concert Productions, who invited the LVC students to participate because of the strong reputation of the LVC choral program.

The festival chorus, comprised of six different choirs, performed Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem complete with chamber orchestra on the historic stage. The students prepared for weeks leading up to the trip, which also included visiting the sites of the city and attending Broadway musicals.

Benson, a graduate of New Hartford Senior High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science and bachelor of arts in music education and music at Lebanon Valley College.
