‘Batman’, ‘Home Alone’ among screenings at Stanley

UTICA — The Stanley Theatre will screen three major blockbuster films this fall — “Batman” (1989) on Oct. 13; “This is Spinal Tap” (1984) on Nov. 10; and “Home Alone” (1990) on Dec. 8.

All films will be shown at 6:30 p.m. on their respective night. For $30, audience members will get one general admission ticket to all three films. This offer ends before the premier of Batman on Oct. 13. Single tickets for each individual movie are $15. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or by calling The Stanley Theatre Box Office at 315-724-4000.

All tickets will be general admission, meaning that there will be no assigned seating.

Starring Michael Keaton as the caped crusader, this film – directed by Tim Burton in 1989 – features Jack Nicholson as The Joker and Kim Bassinger as Vicki Vale.

‘This is Spinal Tap’

On Nov. 10, the hilarious 1984 film stars Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer as Spinal Tap, a fictitious heavy metal group struggling to remain prevalent in the ever-evolving music world. The mockumentary promises to get audiences laughing out loud and rocking out in the aisle.

‘Home Alone’

The classic movie, which stars Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, follows young Kevin McCallister as he protects his home after he is accidentally left behind by his vacationing family for Christmas. This film is a holiday classic for the entire family.
