Barbara June Hutton

Barbara June Hutton entered into her eternal home of restoration and rest after a life of faithful service on February 11, 2022, in Utica, NY, due to complications of Alzheimer’s. She was born in Central Square, NY, on June 21, 1930, to Emerson and Bernice (Parker) Devendorf. Barbara graduated from Oswego High School and Oswego State Teacher’s College, where she met her future husband, Harold R. Hutton. They were married on June 21, 1951.

They lived in Rome and Holland Patent, where she was a supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her home was always welcoming to family and friends, and filled with the wonderful aromas of her baking and cooking. Barbara was a member of the Rome Wesleyan Church for over 60 years. She played the organ there for many years and taught and provided activities for all ages. They lived in Clinton, and Utica during their retirement years. Barbara and Harold were married for 68 years when he passed in September of 2019.

Barbara is survived by her children, James and Edith Hutton, Lancaster, PA; David Hutton, Utica; Cynthia and Roger Farney, Buffalo; Stephen and Belinda Hutton, Holland Patent; and Mark Aldaco, Marcy. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; grandson, Roger Farney III; and daughter-in-law, Lorraine Hutton, died a week after Barbara’s passing.

A memorial service will be held at Redeeming Love Fellowship, Route 365, Stittville, on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 2 p.m.
