Barbara A. Daignault passed away October 27, 2019 after a courageous five month battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Burton L. and Elizabeth J. Edick Reed. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. Barb was united in marriage to Joseph F. Daignault Jr. on July 22, 1967. Joe passed away August 3, 1997. Barb had several jobs through the years but her favorite was as a nurse’s aide at Rome Hospital. Barb treated the patients as if they were her family. Barb retired from Rome Hospital in 1993 due to disability. Through the years Barb cared for many sick relatives including her mom.

Joe, Shelley, Jim, and families would like to thank Joe and Tammy for taking mom into their home when she needed 24 hour care. Tammy you did a great job caring for mom and we will forever be grateful. A special thanks to the staff at Oneida Hospital who were so good to Barb with her many visits. Thank you to the Lutheran Home in Clinton for Barb’s rehab stay and to Upstate Hospital and Hospice and Palliative Care, Middle Settlement Road. The family takes comfort in knowing their parents are reunited again free of pain.
