The annual Muster Day Meal will be held on Friday, July 26, from 4:30-7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 301 W. Embargo St.
Cost is $10, $5 for ages 5 to 12, under 5 eat for free. The menu includes fish fry or baked chicken, French fries, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, rolls, desserts, and drinks.
This community meal serves to kick-off the Honor America Days Celebration. The meal gets it’s name from when the area residents would gather or muster around the fort. The men would practice drills and then a large meal prepared by all would be shared.
