Authorities investigate gunfire in Rome


Gunfire outside the Ramblin' Inn on North James Street late Friday night is under investigation by the Rome Police Department.

Authorities said they were dispatched to the Ramblin' Inn shortly before midnight Friday for reports of gunfire. Police said they found several spent shell casings on the ground and no one in the area had been hit by any of the fired shots.

Police said the suspected triggerman is believed to have fled the scene in a dark-colored BMW.

No arrests have been made so far. Police said they are still gathering information from witnesses.
