Augusta Presbyterian Church restarts in-person services

ORISKANY FALLS — Augusta Presbyterian Church, 2345 Route 26, will return to in-person worship for Palm Sunday on Sunday, March 28. The church will host Morrison Powell, a senior at Clinton High School who will accompany the hymns on trumpet. The service will also be live streamed on Facebook at www.facebook.com/augustapresbyterian.

Augusta Presbyterian will also hold a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. April 1. The Lord’s Supper will be observed. On Good Friday the congregation will gather to read the Passion for Good Friday at 7 p.m. The church will observe Easter Sunrise at 7 a.m. with a service in the Vernon Center Park. The Easter service will be held inside the church’s upstairs sanctuary. Powell, of Clinton, will accompany the hymns on trumpet. All services will be live streamed on Facebook.

Augusta Presbyterian will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 3. Children of all ages are welcome to attend and are asked to bring their own basket. The event will be completely outside. Children are asked to wear masks. The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 1 p.m.
